UK Festival Premiere. When The Hare and Hounds, a failing music venue staffed by fools looks set to close, highly strung manager Keith launches a last ditch ‘Battle of the Bands’ competition. More by accident than by design, musical genius is unleashed by a rapping transvestite, some precocious indie rockers and a barmaid with a golden voice, who together try to save the world they love.

Adrian is a boy-genius, the Mozart of Rock, who knows packed stadium tours and chart-topping albums are right around the corner, as long as his band fall in line and do what he says. His girlfriend Dillan, a beautiful and gifted designer, is starting to wonder lately where she fits in to Adrian’s life. Rose has just left her village with a suitcase full of dreams, woefully unfashionable clothes and the complete works of Jane Austen, to find love and happiness in the big city.

The pub’s misguided music tech Russell truly believes he is an undiscovered genius of the DJ world and his flat mate Christian the dashing new-age guru, Midlands Don Juan and naked Tai-Chi master who seems to get everything he wants just by thinking about it…
